To ensure that no member of the general public is ever able to say, see, the government isn’t wearing them!, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is now requiring that all of its employees wear face masks by themselves while participating in virtual Zoom meetings.
As of August 1, any DNR employee who is caught engaging in a Zoom meeting without a cloth muzzle on will be subject to reprimand or other consequences as part of an agency-wide effort to set a “good example” concerning mask-wearing.
In an email to agency employees, Preston Cole from DNR wrote that it is imperative for masks to be worn “even if you are home” while participating in a virtual meeting “that involves being seen – such as on Zoom or another video-conferencing platform – by non-DNR staff.”
“Set the safety example which shows you as a DNR public service employee care about the safety and health of others,” the email went on to state.
The move comes after Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers issued a statewide mask order demanding that all persons wear face masks whenever they are in an enclosed space other than a private residence.
“By wearing a mask while video conferencing with the general public, we visually remind folks that masking is an important part of navigating the business of natural resources during this tumultuous time,” stated DNR spokeswoman Megan Sheridan to the Kansas City Star.
Since the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) does not suggest wearing a face mask when at home in isolation, the new DNR rules do not even feign as being scientific. They are strictly for virtue signaling purposes to ensure that the DNR is seen as setting a “positive example,” and nothing more.
Sheridan insists that it is important for DNR staff to wear face masks during virtual “externally facing calls” because some people might be upset if employees are seen not wearing them, and the situation could be “taken out of context.”
“A screenshot of a staff person or high-ranking department official, if not properly attributed, could be misinterpreted to suggest that state employees are not properly following the Governor’s directive,” she claims.
In other words, the DNR is more concerned about saving face, literally, than with doing what is reasonable and makes common sense. But then, reason and common sense have pretty much gone out the window with the arrival of the plandemic, which shows no signs of ending anytime soon as long as most people continue to comply with ridiculous and nonsensical rules like wearing face masks during Zoom meetings, which has absolutely no basis in science.
It ranks right up there with driving in one’s own car alone while wearing a face masks and gloves, or jogging alone while wearing a face shield – both scenarios that this writer has witnessed in person on multiple occasions.
“Satanic and conditioning. Eyes wide shut,” wrote one Zero Hedge commenter, obviously critical of these new nonsensical rules.
“It’s well past time that these charlatans were hauled out of their offices and unceremoniously tossed into the street,” wrote another. “Bring back tar and feathers.”
Other commenters joked about how they have seen people wearing actual gas masks at the grocery store, or people lowering their masks to pick their nose or take a drag on a cigarette, defeating the whole purpose behind what masks supposedly do to protect against viral spread.
“It’s about petty power,” noted one commenter about those imposing mask mandates. “These people have never been in control over their own lives, and this gives them an opportunity to be petty tyrants.”
