The former chairman of the United Kingdom’s Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine task force has accused the British government of relying too heavily on experimental and deadly mRNA COVID-19 vaccines to the point that the government has “systematically dismantled” all other pandemic preparedness plans.
This is according to Dr. Clive Dix, who used to be the deputy chairperson of the Vaccine Taskforce of the U.K., which was tasked with facilitating the introduction of the COVID-19 vaccines to the country, as well as its potential global distribution.
Dix accused British government ministers of “systematically dismantling” critical plans developed during the pandemic that may have stood a better chance at shielding the country from the worst effects of the coronavirus.
Speaking in an interview with British newspaper the Observer, Dix expressed his concern about the complacency many in the British government have with mRNA vaccine technology, accusing the government of seeing it as a “golden bullet” against COVID-19 and other potential threats despite warnings that it may not be effective against new viruses. (Related: BAD MEDICINE: UK gov’t confirms 92% of COVID-19 deaths in 2022 were among the VAXXED.) Dix warned that the British government abandoned initiatives that could have helped, including one to manufacture antibodies to help the country’s immunocompromised and otherwise more vulnerable to COVID-19.
“They have sort of systematically dismantled many of the initiatives that we had, when they should have held their nerve and taken them forward,” said Dix, referring to U.K. government officials.
According to Dix, one grave consequence of this overreliance on mRNA vaccine technology and the abandonment of schemes developed to prepare against virus outbreaks is that Britain is now left “fraught with danger.”
“The government has basically put all its money on mRNA vaccines. It gambled recklessly and basically assumed mRNA is going to solve the problem,” added Dix. “‘Let’s forget about all these other … technologies… Let’s just encourage the likes of Pfizer and Moderna to come to the U.K., then we’re covered.'”
“That’s our pandemic preparedness,” Dix concluded. “Quite frankly, it’s not just reckless. It’s fraught with danger.”
The latest British government statement, notably from Deputy Prime Minister Oliver Dowden, suggests that another pandemic will affect the U.K. in the next decade.
“Scientists estimate there is a reasonable likelihood another pandemic will hit us again in the next decade,” he said. “Antimicrobial resistance is creating a new generation of superbugs that have already killed millions globally.”
Dowden claims that the government’s current plan is to develop “a pipeline of medicines and vaccines” to fight another pandemic. The British government is working with scientists and Big Pharma companies to craft a deal that will ensure that, should the U.K. be hit by another outbreak, new vaccines will be available within 100 days of a new threat being detected.
Dowden claimed that the “100 days challenge” for vaccine creation “would be a game changer” that “would save millions of lives.”
“There is plenty of cause for optimism – because of COVID highlighted something else, it’s the ingenuity of the U.K.’s researchers and life sciences sector,” claimed Dowden.
