A recent poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports reveals that 53 percent of American adults believe it is likely that side effects from the Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine have “caused a significant number of unexplained deaths.”
The survey, conducted between Jan. 7 and 9 on 1,133 American adults, shows a four-point increase from 2022 in the number of Americans who believe that the vaccines may be linked to unexplained deaths in the United States.
Now, 30 percent of respondents said it is “very likely” that the vaccines are connected, in contrast to just 16 percent who find it “not at all likely” that a significant number of deaths can be attributed to the COVID-19 vaccines. Another 11 percent remain unsure, while the rest either find it slightly likely or unlikely that the vaccines are involved.
Moreover, the results show that 24 percent of the respondents claim to “personally know someone” whom they believe died due to COVID-19 vaccine-related side effects. This is a substantial increase from the 28 percent reported a year ago. Meanwhile, 61 percent stated they don’t personally know someone with such an experience, and 10 percent remain uncertain. The survey also shed light on broader perceptions of vaccine safety, with 54 percent expressing doubts about the supposed safety of the vaccines. Another 33 percent believe that respondents expressing concerns about vaccine safety are only “spreading conspiracy theories,” while the remaining 13 percent are uncertain.
In a press conference held in March 2023, Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo warned the public about the safety profile of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines and questioned the necessity of their administration.
“These vaccines have a terrible safety profile. I’m not sure anyone should be taking them; that is the honest truth,” Ladapo stated.
He rebuked the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for “denying the truth,” and criticized their policies, particularly the vaccination of children for COVID-19.
Ladapo cited a study published in the Lancet to prove his point about COVID-19 vaccines. The study found that vaccinated individuals faced a higher risk of contracting COVID-19 compared to their unvaccinated counterparts over time.
“They showed that after seven months, the protection from an infection started around 70 percent, [then it goes] down, down, down. At seven months, it hops onto the other side of the axis. So, it is negative, and that continues. The magnitude of that negativity increases over time. That is a fact; has the CDC or FDA ever said a word about that? No,” Ladapo said.
Moreover, Ladapo issued a health alert on the safety of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines in February of the same year based on the data from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). The statistics from the VAERS revealed a significant increase in adverse events in Florida after the rollout of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines.
“In Florida alone, there was a 1,700 percent increase in VAERS reports after the release of the COVID-19 vaccine, compared to an increase of 400 percent in overall vaccine administration for the same time period,” the alert stated.
