Andrew Wakefield is releasing a new film called “Protocol-7” that tells the true story of a small-town lawyer who filed an historic lawsuit against Merck & Co., maker of the deadly and ineffective MMR vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella.
The corporate thriller shares the real-life story of Alexis “Lexi” Koprowski, a devoted mother and small-town family lawyer who took on one of the world’s biggest and most corrupt pharmaceutical corporations.
With the help of Steve Schilling, a renegade doctor who was exiled from the medical profession, Koprowski helped Dr. William Thompson, a virologist-turned-whistleblower at a prominent vaccine laboratory, to hold Merck accountable for producing fraudulent test results for its then-failing mumps vaccine.
“He was an orphan of conflict in Africa,” a person states at the start of the movie trailer below about a young child who was injured by the fraudulent shot. “He was smart and bright, and we got him home and he crashed right in front of us.”

The film appears very well made based on the trailer, but keep in mind that it bears an R rating, meaning it is restricted for adults only due to sensitive content.
Wakefield has been through the ringer himself for trying to tell the truth about what he observed in his vaccinated patients while working as one of the world’s leading gastroenterologists, so this film is near and dear to his heart.
We know from what his new film covers that Merck was well aware of the fraud taking place behind closed doors at its company, but that the mumps vaccine it was trying to push was a farce.
“Some people, some very important people, are saying our vaccine does not work,” one of the characters representing a corporate Merck employee says in the trailer.
“We have a U.S. monopoly, and a major share of the world market for MMR – and we own the only one that works,” the character continues.
“Except that it does not,” responds one of the characters going after Merck.
The film is about scandal, corruption and cheating at the corporate level – and about getting away with all that, at least for a time, due to power, money and influence.
“‘Protocol-7’ takes us behind the corporate curtain, exposing a chain of command that devolves responsibility, prioritizes profits over people, and fosters an amoral mindset of ‘just following orders,'” reads a summary of the film.
On YouTube, a supporter of Wakefield commended him for putting his heart and soul into this film, which is coming soon.
“Bravo to Andy for following his heart all these years, for doing the right thing regardless of the consequences, and for listening to that still small voice inside that brought him to yet another unexpected turn – film making,” this person wrote.
“This man is one of my heroes – and like all heroes, he’s humble. Can’t wait to see this.”
Another wrote that “Protocol-7” is not a movie: “It is reality.”
“I can’t wait to see this!” celebrated someone else. “I already know the story from personal experience, unfortunately. But this is going to be an amazingly eye-opening film for so many.”
“God bless Dr. William Thompson for demonstrating integrity and bringing this to light in 2014,” said another. “God knows and it will all come to light – trust and pray.”
