Dr. Robert Malone revealed that the heads of two government agencies blocked the use of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) as a treatment for Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. He named acting Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Dr. Janet Woodcock and former Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) Director Rick Bright as the ones responsible.
The inventor of the mRNA vaccine technology made this revelation during his Dec. 31 appearance on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast. Malone told podcast host Joe Rogan that Dr. Vladimir “Zev” Zelenko was the first one to document the FDA-BARDA collusion against HCQ.
“Zelenko [is] the guy that came out with the original [HCQ] protocol. [He] was [also] the one, by the way, that wrote the letter to [former President Donald] Trump advocating for HCQ. He clearly documents the conspiracy between Woodcock and Bright to make it so that physicians could not administer HCQ outside of the hospital,” Malone said. Back in October 2021, Zelenko himself revealed the collusion to Dave Hayes of “The X22 Report.” He said that time: “Janet Woodcock, who is probably the biggest mass murderer in America right now, advised Bright to restrict access to HCQ – in direct opposition to the executive order of [former] President Trump.”
“Instead of making it available to everyone through the Right to Try legislation that Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) championed, what they did was they issued an emergency use authorization (EUA) that restricted the use of HCQ only to hospitalized patients. [This meant] that the national stockpile was closed to patients who were not that sick. That led to tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands of people, getting much sicker.”
True enough, the FDA issued an EUA for HCQ in March 2020 – but eventually rescinded the authorization in June of that year. The regulator argued that HCQ was “unlikely to be effective in treating COVID-19” due to what it claimed as “ongoing serious cardiac adverse events.”
Malone described Bright and his leadership role in BARDA during his interview with Rogan. The mRNA vaccine inventor said that the office was “a big ticket-funder” for bio-defense products at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). He said that the Johnson & Johnson single-dose COVID-19 vaccine and the Trump administration’s Operation Warp Speed were among the many projects that received funding from BARDA.
However, Bright was sacked from his leadership post at BARDA in April 2020 following “clashes with HHS political leadership.” He told Axios in a statement: “I limited the broad use of chloroquine and HCQ – [both] promoted by the Trump administration as a panacea, but which clearly lack scientific merit. I insisted that these drugs be provided only to hospitalized patients with confirmed COVID-19 while under the supervision of a physician.”
Bright lamented his termination from BARDA and accused the Trump administration of “politicizing the agency’s work” and “placing politics and cronyism ahead of science.” He said: “Science, in service to the health and safety of the American people, must always trump politics.” (Related: Association of American Surgeons & Physicians sues FDA for interfering with availability of hydroxychloroquine.)
Meanwhile, Woodcock joined the FDA as acting commissioner upon Stephen Hahn’s departure. But incidentally, two of her predecessors – Hahn and Scott Gottlieb – also had ties to Big Pharma. Following their FDA stints, Gottlieb joined Pfizer’s board of directors while Hahn served as the chief medical officer of Flagship Pioneering – the venture firm behind vaccine maker Moderna.
Zelenko commented on the former FDA commissioners’ ties to Big Pharma during his October 2021 interview with Hayes. He remarked that the regulator, alongside the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, have clearly “proved themselves to be prostitutes to the highest bidder.”
“Why would I trust these so-called agencies? Half their budgets are from the pharmaceutical industry. If I were in charge of these agencies – which were designed to protect the interest of the public – I would create a firewall that none of the employees of these agencies could go work for Big Pharma and they cannot take any money from their budgets from Big Pharma.”
“How do you expect them to be unbiased and to evaluate drugs and therapeutics if they’re being literally bribed and paid by the same companies that they’re evaluating? You don’t have to be a rocket scientists to know what’s going on here,” Zelenko pointed out.
